India must disintegrate for the sake of world peace

After former Yugoslavia, it is India's turn to naturally disintegrate (I cannot wait until the day when we can finally refer to India as "former India"). Just imagine, had the former unnatural federation of balkan states, called Yugoslavia, not unravelled, we would still be witnessing the grotesque bloodshed that the Serbs perpetrated during the 80's and 90's.

The war in former Yugoslavia resulted in a genocide perpetrated by the Serbs against Bosnians, which parallels what the Nazis did to minorities. In one instance, Serbs sequestered 5000 Bosnian Muslim men, and shot them execution style--all the while, the world stood by silently.

In comparison, India has massacred ten times more Kashmiris, and the same--if not worse--horrors are being unleashed by them on Kashmiris and yet the world is again standing by silently.

Over a 100,000 martyred Kashmiris, mass graves, mass rapes, kidnapping, murders, torture--all perpetrated by India; what else do the Kashmiri have to suffer through to get the world's attention?

Not only must the world censure India for it's heinous acts in Kashmir, the world must also move toward policies that call for India's disintegration. They should do this to ensure world peace. The Balkans is a peaceful region now only because Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Kosovo are independent of each other, instead of being hobbled together to form an unnatural federation called Yugoslavia. Allowing Yugoslavia to function as a federation of unwilling states would have been a crime against democratic principles and a crime against humanity--and we would have witnessed hundreds of thousands more deaths. The world community took decisive action, and thus prevented more horrors. Similarly, each state that seeks secession from India must be allowed to declare independence in order for there to be peace in South Asia. The similarities between former Yugoslavia and the forced union of states called India are self evident.

India is a country that should never have come into existence in the first place. It is an amalgamation of states with entirely different ethnicities, religions, languages and cultures that would have never come together naturally, freely, in a democratic way. The only reason why it exists within its current borders is that first the Mughals and later the British conquered successive smaller nations to create this monolith called India--held together then and even now by sheer military power and untenable repression.

Currently, India is a federation of unwilling states--an unnatural entity which will crumble under its own weight of repressive policies. A country standing on the might of its illiterate, poverty stricken, ignorant, and gullible population to subjugate Kashmir and other states seeking freedom is a crime against all humanity. The Indians are using their only source of power--the sheer number of their military, whom they recruit straight out of slums--to subjugate secessionist states, and also to occupy and invade neighbouring states such as Kashmir.

Assam, Jharkand, Punjab, Sikkim, Hyderabad, Maharashtra: just to name a few states where there are strong secessionist sentiments and active groups seeking secession for their respective states. This unnatural amalgamation of ethnically disparate regions would never have come together to form any sort of federation that would require them to relenquish the sovereignty of their states.

This unnatural imperial leftover of a mess called India has caused millions of deaths if we add up the casualties of India's suppression of all the secessionist movements in Assam, Punjab, Jharkand, and Kashmir combined. Is it worth to let this exercise in modern day imperialism to survive without threat of more deaths, more misery, and more subjugation of peaceful freedom seeking people? Above all, is it humane to witness India's grotesque tactic of befooling their gullible, poverty stricken population by spending billions upon billions on their military when a majority of Indians cannot even get a decent meal or clean drinking water?

India must disintegrate for the sake of world peace and humanity. Any more "wait and see" approach chosen by the world community will only result in more deaths, mass graves, mass rapes, and torture perpetrated by the most hideous of all countries in the world--India.

  1. The problem with Kashmir has been its tendency to be indecisiveness at critical junctures. This applies to both the political arena and independence struggle. I read the book "Kashmir in conflict". It is universally despised and discredited by Indians. (Anything remotely critical of India usually is)

It seems Kashmir had many opportunities to break away clean from Hindustani hegemony. However, Kashmir never capitalized due to a lack of resolve/concensus between its leaders.

This has resulted in a one-way slaughter of kashmiri people by occupational forces.

  2. What a "Clever" thought.(Pun Intended)
You shouldn't have posted this one at least.
If someone reads it, they will doubt your talents which you have exhibited so far in your previous posts.
It would be a laughing matter for people to know that instead of praying this for Pakistan, you are hoping this for something which is the and i mean THE Only source of stablity not only in South Asia(socio/political/economic) but whole of Asia at large and then globally(for economic reasons).
Its like praying for Satan himself.
    Good luck

There are more powerful prayers to God than your prayer to Satan, who wont let this happen.

Interesting that the Yugoslavians (serb) also thought that the only source of stability in the balkans was yugoslavia--even if it meant massacring croats/bosnians/kosovars etc.

  4. @ Core Kashmiri,

How can u be a core Kashmiri when a 120,000(which includes the 320 Kashmiri pandits also) of your Kashmiri brothers and sisters have been mercilessly killed by the Indian army. How can you be a core Kashmiri when even today the Indians continue to kill, maim and rape your fellow Kashmiris.

STOP calling yourself CoreKashmiri, Call yourself a Hindutva Indian agent.

  6. hi,
i'm from south india. and i'm lucky.. i've been able to visit kashmir. it was around 2-3 years ago, in the winter. it's d most beaut place i'v ever been to. and if i ever hav a daughter, i'l cal her 'jannat.' kashmiris were extremely friendly, and very helpful. lots of people went out of their way to help me.
the saddest sight of course, were soldiers everywhere. and i've seen police brutality 1st hand.. it was horrible. i always pray for peace in kashmir, and peace of mind for the kashmiris.
but i hav to disagree with your idea of india being bound to fail. the beauty of india is its diversity. you know, when you meet a person who's totally different from you, yet you share something special.. that's india.
kerala is a beautiful place.. you can come here without a visa.. it's your land too.. that's india
i know there are problems. the northeast's comes from china. and kashmiris never get the chance for peace, pakistan always has its nose in. you guys have never been able to discover what it means to be indian. and pakistan, you'll agree is a mess.
i know that peace must come back to kashmir. the army must go out. and you people must be given a choice. what you want must be decided by you.
but i say, give peace a chance. throw the guns away. discourage the militants. give the peopl of india a good reason to say 'get the army out.' then live with us for a while. and if you still want to go, then you must.
its not easy for us to accept that another country has interfered, and won.
and let me assure you that india is changing. the press is active. the conscience is awakening.
and whatever may happen, let me assure you that'll i'll always love the 99% who treated me as a guest, and ignore the 1% who stared at me in kashmir.
my last sentence is the best clue as to the best way to get what you want. b4 i visited i was always anti-freedom-for-kashmir. but after, i can accept that if freedom must happen, then it must. and it's not because of the 1% anger. but the 99%'s love.
    wish you well,
    subin

  7. @Subin

There are less than 300 militants in Kashmir. The freedom struggle in Kashmir is peaceful. It's your army that keeps killings unarmed protesters.
I am very glad that you support giving Kashmiris a choice to decide our own future.
You are always welcome to visit Kashmir; even after we are independent.

  8. Hi.. I am Salim, a South Indian too; from Tamil
    Nadu.

@Yousuf: Thanks for inviting Indians to your home even after you are independent! That is so
    sweet of you!! :-)

But what I am worried about is that after "independence", will you be independent from a
    possible control by Pakistan too?

Along with Subin and the rest of India, I pray for the return of peace in your beautiful valleys! Your sons and daughters deserve the happiness and prosperity that the rest of India is enjoying! May Gods be reading this post!!!

  9. Hi Guys,

I was looking for a forum to read or write about Kashmir. I am a Indian and a Hindu (I don't know if these details mater). After reading few posts I am assuming I have strong crowd to deal with.

Had few questions to all Kashmiri’s.

According to little history what I know (and I may be wrong), At the time of partition, the king who was ruling Kashmir under strong influence of India decided to join India as against Pakistan (This might be against the people residing in Kashmir at that point of time).

My point of repeating the background is that it was 50 years ago, I agree to the fact that people of Kashmir don’t agree to the judgment taken by that king. But do u guys really want to join Pakistan or form an Independent country.

Forming an independent country I would assume is a better option than joining Pakistan. I don’t have anything against Pakistan. Given the current scenario of Pakistan, do you guys think they are in the position to make situation better for you. I think that might just screw up the case for you guys a little more.

If you even think about forming an independent country I would like to understand what are the advantages of doing so. What are the things currently done by the Indian government which is wrong, is there a way to resolve this more peacefully then the way it been currently done.

I had an opportunity to visit Kashmir when I was 10 – 12, and I want to see that place again. I hope we can bring that glory to Kashmir back

  11. Really sick , untrue and full of hate.

Muslim Kashmiris should realise that they can never take away Kashmir from India. They have been making noise for the last 60 years and more voilently since 1990. Countries which disintegrated like Bangladesh, Yugoslavia etc etc hapened in a span of 3 to 4 years. No revolution (?) can last for mroe than 5 years.

Agree that Kashmir is a problem for India. But it is a question of our reputation where we will never let it fade away even if we have to kill thousands of terrorists as we have been doing since 1997 when the Indian army became offensive in Kashmir.

You have impressed me by your writing skills and I have read almost all your blogs. But your understanding and theory is too ancient. Wake up guys and realise that the world is different..........

  12. My god, so much hatred against the Indian Government who are trying to do their level best to restore normalcy in the region. I agree that the approach of the Government is not yielding the desired results, but dear Yousuf, just tell me,it is not only Pakistan, but China also who will try to capture Kashmir once it is set free. Article 370 shows what concessions are being given to Kashmiris. And the most important thing, United we stand, but divided we fall. Kashmir region is a sensitive region as it it has internatinal borders with three countries. China is a rogue state as we have seen after 1962 and still seeing in Arunachal Pradesh.

  13. If Kashmir becomes independent it will go the Pakistan way a failed or doomed state because of religious fanaticsm. Instead the problems facing Kashmirs will solve and die a slow but sure death bcos the Manmohan singah govt. is very good and India is making progress in all ways

  14. All fellow Indians and Pakistanis: Please keep in mind that negative blogs like these are run by foreign agents who have vested interests in creating rifts between two same people on either side of an imaginary line. (I'm Sikh, but some of my relatives look very much Kashmiri.)

Realize this: A "freedom movement" in a democratic region is illogical, unless sponsored by a outside power. The population of a capitalistic democratic nation only wants more development and more free markets and more growth. Think about it.

  15. There is no doubt that some goons are getting lots of money from ISI to spread hate towards India. Pakistan's own existence depends on "HATE INDIA" concept. What can we expect from Jinnah's followers who divided India for so called Islam. Do muslims have four legs or hands or ten heads ? We all believe in God. Why to fight just over the issue of "HOW TO PRAY GOD". If Pakistan is founded on Islam then why shiya muslims and sindhis and baluchistanis are getting killed. Hate arise from ethnic issues and they are in pakistan also. It's guarranted that Kashmiris will be butchered by Punjabis in Pakistan and there ladies will be raped by them. Take some treatment from Psychologist or ask God who will tell you truth that Pakistani leaders are making fool of public of Pakistan for their vested interests.

  17. Abject and sheer misconception that India is not one country.Only a person with out an iota of knowledge in history would speak or write such a thing. We indians including all the various religions and state identities are one and only one.No force can divide us or break us.
If some of you kashmiris feel so alienated, why not mingle with people of India, and then you would realize the fallacy of your statement.
Besides those of your lot who do not consider themselves as Indian, leave india go to pakistan and settle down in some shithole.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If Kashmir become independent, then let it be but Jammu and Laddakh would be the part of India as they will never accept the extremist muslim rule & I am 100% sure, if such a thing ever is decided, then the Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir region's independence would also be pulled by the Indians, and then I dont think pakistan will be comfortable, so India will also won't let you go too. So dear Kashmiris, forget independence, be good citizens, you are already given enough concessions by the Indian govt. Pakistan activities has already reached at the brink of India's patience. Today we Indians are prepared for any damn thing concerning Pakistan and/or China, that involves nuclear catastrophe, as we have had enough of this "beating about the bush stuff". You are only 4 million, we are 1 billion, remember this. Kashmir was there when there were no muslims in Kashmir, it will be there when muslims will leave kashmir. Got it!!! Since independence, we are wooing you guys, thinking that you are at least not like those Balochis, Sindhis, Pathans, Bangals (Not Bengalis)and paki Punjabis, who are back stabbers, but you guys never understood. If you want to be treated the way the pakis treat the people of Norther Areas, then let it be, then only would you understand. On the positive note, I would add that, the country of India is yours, we all are ready to live like brothers and sisters. If you have any issues with the govt. we will fight together, but the Rest of India won't give your land either to Pakistan or independence. If you want you can leave India with all your bank balances, we dont even need your money.

  20. What a joke! All talk India should split up from a kashmiri separatist! Your own Kashmiri "Azadi" movement doesn't have any unity. Kashmiri Muslims want Azadi. Kashmiri Pandits want Panun Kashmir with Indian Constitution and without art.370. Jammu wants to stay with India. Ladakh wants separate Union territory status and your Hurriyat leaders are all walking in different directions! and thou talk of India should break up! laughable indeed!
